What we collect, why, and how to get it deleted, in plain English.

The short version
- There are no accounts, analytics or ad trackers on this site.
- We don't use cookies. Our cookie policy has the details.
- Our web host keeps basic server logs so the site stays secure.
- If you email us, we use your address to reply and that's it.
- If you sign up for launch news, we only email you about NOCATCH, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
- If you sign up in the game, your username (the part of your email before the @) shows on the public leaderboard. Your email never does.
- We never sell your data or share it for ads.
Who we are

What we collect and why
This site is a set of plain pages. You can read all of it without giving us anything, and the fonts, photos and video all load from our own server. The one exception is the Instagram feed on the home page, which loads through Behold.
| What | When | Why | Legal basis | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Server logs: IP address, browser, page visited, time | Every visit, recorded by our web host | Keeping the site secure and working | Legitimate interest | As set by our host, usually around 30 days To confirm |
| Your email address and consent | When you sign up for launch news | Sending launch news and campaign updates | Consent | Until you unsubscribe |
| Email, username, daily streak and record score | When you sign up inside the game | Running the giveaway leaderboard and contacting the winner | Consent | Until the giveaway ends, then deleted within 30 days To confirm |
| Your email address and what you write | When you email us | Replying to you | Legitimate interest | Until we've sorted your question, then up to 2 years To confirm |
| Name, email and shipping address | After the campaign, if you back us on Kickstarter | Sending your reward and campaign updates | Contract | Until your reward arrives, plus whatever tax and accounting rules need |
When you tap Notify me or pledge, you're on Kickstarter's site and their privacy policy applies. We only see backer details once the campaign ends.
What we don't do
- We don't run analytics, heatmaps or ad pixels.
- We don't sell personal data or share it for targeted ads, so there's nothing to opt out of.
- We don't make automated decisions about you.
Who sees it
Only the services we need to run things:
- Our web host, which stores the server logs. To confirm
- Behold, which shows our Instagram posts on the home page. Your browser connects to it to load them, which shares your IP address. To confirm
- Our email provider, which holds the emails you send us. To confirm
- Our newsletter tool, which stores launch-news sign-ups. To confirm
- Kickstarter, which handles pledges and payments.
- The carrier or fulfilment partner that ships your reward, who gets your name and address for that.
Some of these may process data outside your country. When they do, we rely on their standard safeguards, like the EU's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email us to see the data we hold about you, fix it or have it deleted. We'll reply within 30 days.
- EU and UK: you can also object to how we use your data, ask us to limit it or move it, and complain to your local data protection authority.
- US: depending on your state, you can ask what we've collected, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of sales. We don't sell data, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
Kids
This site isn't made for children under 16, and Kickstarter needs backers to be 18 or older. If you think a child has emailed us personal details, tell us and we'll delete them.
Changes
If we add something new, like a newsletter, we'll update this page first and change the date at the top.
